Dogs Leave Paw Prints on Your Heart
I love dogs. Let me say that again. I LOVE dogs. I wish I could adopt every single one and make them live with me forever.
I am definitely a dog mom – it’s really bad, and I’m sure I entertain my neighbors. That’s okay though. These babies keep my life interesting. Lets meet them!

Abby
Abby was a rescue from Hurricane Harvey. It breaks my heart to think that she was all alone and scared during the storm, but as I’ve said before, everything happens for a reason. She was meant to be our dog. She is the sweetest girl and always looks out for her two brothers.
We didn’t always get along… It used to be just her and Alex. She sat on the couch with him and slept on the other side of the bed. When I came into the picture, she was NOT happy. In fact, she would leave little “presents” for me by the stairs after eating anything and everything that belonged to me. That changed after I took care of her when she was sick and she realized the other side of the bed was mine. She is a sweet girl and likes to howl at you when you play with her.

Hank
Hank is definitely the comedian in the family. He has a number of nicknames including Hank the Tank, Fat Boy, Brown Boy, and Hankers. He loves to chew on his sister’s ear and lick his brother’s ear (he has a weird thing with ears).
I didn’t want Hank at first because he is so little! I had a boxer lab (75 lbs) mix and a welsh corgi terrier mix (35 lbs). Abby was the smallest dog I had in my entire life (25 lbs), but my husband loves dachshunds. As soon as I saw Hank for the first time my heart melted (I told you, dog mom for sure). He was so little that he could fit under our couch. Now I share the same love for dachshunds as Alex. Hank is now a whopping 13.5 lbs full of fun and trouble.

Cal
Cal is a big innocent ball of pure energy. He is the newest addition to the Simplot family (probably for a while) and is the cutest little boy ever! He is a little bow-legged and hasn’t grown into his paws yet so when he runs in the house, all you hear are his little baby gallops.
We’re still learning more about Cal. He just turned 6 months on December 5th and will be having his first Christmas here soon. He enjoys messing with this brother and sister and chewing on the bathroom rug. Hank and Cal like to play fight, standing on their hind legs and throw “punches” with their paws like lions. All three of them keep our life very interesting. We are very proud dog parents.
